Punishment Aimed at Alcohol Intoxicated Drivers Paying Off

According to Benjamin Hansen, a University of Oregon economist, increasing the punishments for drinking and driving have reduced the likelihood of repeat offenses. Research data taken from 1999-2011 in Washington state suggested that lowering the blood alcohol content (BAC) threshold correlated with less drunk driving crimes. Read more about it [here]
